DIN 5699/745 SHACKLES FOR ELEVATOR BUCKETS WITH SPECIAL HARDENING

Shackles to join DIN 764 and 766 chain sections and to hold the buckets.

-Forged in alloy steel in class 2H or in CrMo / NiCrMo steel in classes 3H, 3HS, 3HX, completely hardened and tempered to a resistance of 1000 N/mm2 (2H) – 1200 N/mm2 (3H);

– Highly resistant to wear thanks to a special hardening process of the contact area with the chain (induction hardening);

-Each piece is carefully examined to verify its surface quality;

-The thermal treatments are chosen to properly intensify the resistance to fatigue of the pieces;

-The test and breaking loads of the closed shackle are equal or superior to those of the thickest attachable chain (see table);

The DIN 5699 shackles are reinforced and in relation to the DIN 745 shackles they obtain better results in terms of operational safety, resistance to breakage and fatigue. In this case of DIN 5699 shackles the bucket is held at a distance from the upper chain with respect to that of the DIN 745 shackles. The length of the threaded pins is suitable for the positioning of the closing plate with nuts and counter nuts, thus achieving a secure closure of the piece.

The use of suitable closure plates with calibrated holes is recommended so as not to compromise the resistance of the piece.

The shackles of the 3H, 3HS and 3HX classes have double plates (for mounting inside and outside the bucket) with calibrated holes of very high precision and joints with mechanical self-locking nuts.
